Whenever we need a little borrowed-from-the-boys inspiration, hip Brooklyn boutique Smith + Butler is always our go-to stop. So, consider us super-excited that Levi's just debuted their Made & Crafted spring '12 collection at the Carroll Gardens' haunt. The denim megabrand's premium capsule shares Smith + Butler's taste for 20th-century Americana, so the 250-foot pop-up fits right into its new home and has plenty of product on offer: woven shirts, T-shirts, jackets, and denim (of course) all have the look and feel of quality workwear, but come in modern materials and fabrics, as well as slimmer cuts. The collection also goes as far back in time as the workaday "blue jean" trouser of the early 1900s, and as near as the San Francisco prep of Steve McQueen's slim-shape style in Bullitt—meaning you can still rock a vintage vibe without looking like you were just unfrozen in time (always a good thing). This pop-up will be sticking around through the end of the season, so you'll have plenty of time to shop (and re-shop) this cool collection. Of course, the best selects are always gone first, so we suggest hopping on the F train ASAP.
