Jin Soon’s Holiday Polishes Are Like Frosting For Your Nails

Indulge us here for a moment as we talk about cake. We like cake, quite a bit, and if we had to zero in on just what makes this dessert so delectable, we'd have to say it's the frosting. Ooey, gooey, delicious frosting that also makes said cake look all spiffed up — because a cake without frosting is a wee bit sad. Not that that would stop us from eating it, mind you.
We forgive you for being confused as to what frosting has to do with nail polish, so let us shed a little light on the subject. Jin Soon Choi's holiday collection of nail polishes features a trio of sparkling, shimmering polishes she's calling toppings. These glittery, sheer sparklers are meant to embellish your regularly scheduled nail polish, so just like frosting (anybody else starving all of a sudden?), they take something that's already pretty great and make it even better.
There are three shades in the collection: Gala, made up of finely milled rose-gold particles that create a shimmering glow; Fête, multi-dimensional and multi-hued glitter flecks that catch the light for some serious sparkle; and Soirée, a mix of geometrically cut silver "diamonds" and onyx-hued pieces for a more textured, edgy effect.
The polishes can be worn on their own (hey, we're not going to judge if you want skip the cake and go straight for the frosting), or layered over your favorite shades to give them new life for the holidays. We'd say something about having your cake and eating it, too, but we're just so damn hungry right now that we can't focus. Also, why aren't there any manicure spots that serve cake? Million-dollar business idea...
