Snake Bite: Jack Vartanian Knows Pythons and PYTs

We haven't been to the zoo lately, which is why we were pretty amped to preview jeweler Jack Vartanian's newest fine jewelry collection, PYTHON, inspired by the largest snake known to man. The fabulous Claiborne Swanson Frank, Kate Young and Vanessa von Bismarck joined Jack and Cassie Varatanian to host a beautiful array of jewel-obsessed it-girls for cocktails and dinner at one of our fave UES eateries, Le Charlot. Among the sparkles, Bettina Prentice, Marisa Noel Brown, Genevieve Bahrenburg, Zani Gugelmann, and Whitney Pozgay certainly shined against the backdrop of the bold pieces, all inspired by single Brazilian stone (Vartanian swore he saw python scales emanating from the natural gem). The bling is hand-cut with one-of-a-kind finishing—serpent rings and earrings in blue sapphire with diamond trim or black-faceted quartz set in 18 karat gold will be on accessoriestas and devoted followers like Kate Hudson, Rachel Zoe and Demi Moore must-have lists for fall and forever. So go ahead and sweetly hiss your desired gem choice in the ear of a suitable suitor just like any sassy reptile would. Consider us bitten.
Available exclusively online at and at his flagship NYC boutique.
