Well, not exactly. See, the online dating site Match.com released an interesting series of user statistics focused on out-and-about singles in the five boroughs (57% of women will go "Dutch" on dinner, 30% feel the Met is the best museum for a first date, etc.). Among all those semi-fascinating numbers was one curious fact: Manhattanites were 3% more interested in dating someone from Brooklyn than they are in dating someone from Manhattan. Totally counterintuitive, right? Perhaps this is just another sign that Brooklyn has gone from being known as a borough of Bensonhurst Vinnys and Ginas to the land of lanky, unshaven guitarists and Eleanor Friedberger. (Brokelyn)
