To say that Christina Aguilera has had one hell of a career so far would be the understatement of the century. She's released a slew of hit records, acted in a handful of television shows and movies, sat as a judge on The Voice, and so much more. Plus, she's done it all while looking fabulous and staying true to her incredibly loyal fans. And, 16 years after the release of her first major hit "Genie In a Bottle" and with two children, this music mogul isn't slowing down. Christina just released her seventh fragrance in the U.S., Woman, which she describes as an "ode to femininity." We caught up with the powerhouse to chat about everything from perfume to television to that amazing stint on Jimmy Fallon a few months back.

You were one of the first pop stars to have their own fragrance. Why did you decide to get into that part of the industry?
"One of the strongest memories I have as a child is my mom doing her makeup at her vanity. I would always want to spray her fragrance on me — I can still remember the smell. I love the idea of sharing something so personal with my fans, and over the years I have captured different sides of my personality in different scents. From my first fragrance, Signature, to my latest scent, Woman, I can remember the process of each one and how it was reflective of where I was in my life."

How is this fragrance different from your others?
"Each fragrance evokes a different emotion and mindset, and they reflect scents I personally love. For Woman, I carefully chose ingredients that represent the qualities I see in strong and sexy women. I hope the scent inspires women to become the best versions of themselves. Magnolia is the base note, with fruity influences of pears and pineapples that bring a fresh and feminine touch. An eternal and unmistakable symbol of womanhood, the magnolia is one of the oldest flowers in existence. The fresh, lush scent empowers inner femininity while soft, velvety petals feel like a caressing touch on the skin."  You talk about how this fragrance is meant to tap into every woman's inner femininity. What does femininity mean to you?
"My fragrances always have the message of taking pride in who you are as a woman, which to me represents inner femininity. A woman embodies pride and empowerment. The bright, fruity scent provides a powerful start to instill self-confidence. This is a unique attribute women have, and it has an even stronger meaning for me, in this very special period of my life. And, fragrance is a one-size-fits-all type of product, and I love that it smells a little different on each person. It’s also a fast and easy way to feel sexy."

You're set to star on a multi-episode arc on Nashville. Is there anything you're particularly excited about when it comes to that?
"I am always one to try new things, and when this opportunity came to me I was really excited. I can relate to the character of Jade [Christina's character on the show] and her struggles. I really enjoyed working with the crew and Hayden [Panettiere]. She is a firecracker."

Your red lips are your signature. Can you tell me what brands and colors you particularly love?
"I love red lipstick — a red lip is my classic look! LipSense lipstick in Blu-Red is one of my favorites." Were you surprised when the Internet fell in love with your impersonation of Britney Spears on Jimmy Fallon?
(Laughs) "I was surprised when This Little Piggy with Britney’s voice came up on the wheel, but I thought it was all in good fun. Doing impressions can go either way, so the fact that everyone liked it and could laugh with us was great. I think Britney is great." Your hair has seen a ton of changes since your career started. What was your favorite look?
"I like to think of myself as a chameleon who is always changing with time. I’ve had so many different styles over the years, but I love the Old Hollywood glam look: platinum-blonde hair, the perfect red lip. It’s very Marilyn Monroe, and shows a pure feminine beauty."   You've lived a whole lot of life since the start of your career. What are some things you always look toward to help perk you up?
"The births of my children — they changed the way I think about everything. I just think of being with Max and Summer in my sweats, cuddling them and singing them to sleep. It’s important for me to be the first thing they see when they wake up and the last thing they see before they go to sleep."
How has your beauty routine changed — between touring, being on The Voice, and being a mom?
"My routine is simple, and I am lucky enough to work with amazing people in this business. For me, personally, the secret to every beauty routine is starting with a clean and moisturized base — and then, not being afraid to take chances. With confidence, anyone can be beautiful! Moisturize your skin, nourish your lips, and wear your favorite fragrance!"  You obviously enjoy makeup. What do you love about it?
"When I am not working, I actually don’t wear makeup. But, in front of the camera I love it as it’s a fun way to explore and really be bold."

Are there any products or treatments you rely on to make you feel your best?
"Clé de Peau eye cream and face moisturizer. My skin is dry, so I love a heavier moisturizer. Cetaphil, which is good for every type of skin and gentle to cleanse [with]. Makeup-removing wipes from MAC. They're great for on-the-go, because they come in a pack and are already combined with a cleanser and vitamin E. And, of course, fragrance — Woman, my newest fragrance, is what I am wearing now."
