Move over Bella Swan, and get ready to welcome Katniss Everdeen to the pantheon of YA book heroines who are getting the Hollywood treatment. The Hunger Games main character will be played by last year’s breakout star, Jennifer Lawrence, who caught the attention of moviegoers everywhere with her gritty portrayal of Ree in Winter’s Bone. While some have complained that this is another instance of Hollywood white-washing a literary gem, we think Jennifer not only has the chops, but the star-power to pull it off. (E!)
