Although we’ll always believe that the West Coast is the best coast, we’ll (temporarily) bury the hatchet with our Eastern rival for a pop-up that packs a serious punch, like the latest turn between L.A. fashion line, 69, and Assembly New York and their month-long Lala Land collab effort around clothes, art, film, and music at Space 15 Twenty. Interested? Check out interesting designer duds and one-of-a-kind art pieces before you rock out to tunes from Pharaohs and Lovefingers at Friday’s kickoff event.
Other to-not-miss happenings throughout June include outdoor markets featuring covetable wares from brands like Dream Collective and Hansel from Basel and screenings of Falling Down and L.A. Story. There will also be plenty of opportunities to get your creativity on — learn natural dying techniques from Maricolous textile gurus or contribute some strokes to a group painting at the Sumi Ink Club meeting.
When: Opening Event Friday, June 7, 6 to 9 p.m.
Where: Space 15 Twenty, 1520 North Cahuenga Boulevard (near West Sunset Boulevard); no phone.
