When Lanvin was shooting the spring campaign in NYC this past October, Alber Elbaz was stuck in Paris due to a slammed workload and flight complications stemming from Hurricane Sandy. To provide input on the Steven Meisel set, Elbaz Skyped in and offered his comments from an empty-looking studio.
So…what's it like Skyping with Elbaz? Pretty much what you'd think, actually — he's self-deprecatingly funny, throws "so chic!" around with abandon, and eventually settles into that half-face frame that anyone who's spent too long on Skype knows so well.
