In just four years, Sophia Amoruso's brainchild, Nasty Gal, has become one of the e-commerce sites everyone talks about and shops on, and we're guessing, the source of quite a few mail carrier double takes.
Showing no signs of slowing down, Nasty Gal has now announced its very own clothing label. While the site is known for a selective collection of clothing and brands that are youthful, edgy, and girly without feeling over the top (and a sticker price that only shocks you in a good way), the newest designs will still speak to the Nasty Gal fan — this time, with their own branding. "We’ve gotten to know our customer over a nearly six-year period, so designing for her, in many ways, feels much easier than curating disparate items from the market," Amoruso told WWD.
Other Nasty Gal developments include its first-ever magazine, set to premiere around Fashion Week, but the new line will make its 32-piece appearance even sooner, with an anticipated drop date in late August. From the few items that we've gotten a peek at so far, it looks like we can still anticipate Nasty Gal to be the place for test driving new trends, finding everyday pieces that are truly thrilling, and stocking up on accessories that make a statement without taking a dive into your savings.
