This Sunday, Golden Globes red carpet walkers will be taking on a challenge other than 1) not tripping and 2) upstaging the Downton Abbey cast: wearing dresses and designs made using green processes. Championed by Livia Firth, producer and creative director of Eco Age, and wife of Colin Firth, the third annual Green Carpet Challenge will feature eco-friendly designs by Giorgio Armani, Chanel, Alberta Ferretti, Tom Ford, Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, Stella McCartney, Paul Smith, Valentino, Roger Vivier, and Ermenegildo Zegna.
All of designs will will be covered online, at Vogue UK. No word yet on what these designs will look like, or who they'll appear on, but if the looks are anything like Firth's 2009 gown (made from recycled pieces of Colin's old Tom Ford suits), watching for them during the pre-show might be just as fun as betting on whether or not Aziz Ansari will bring Blue Ivy as his date.
