Kate Mara's hair has been on the short side for quite a while now — falling somewhere between a bob and a lob. But recently, the actress has taken off even more length, opting for a pixie cut. Her hairstylist Mara Roszak posted a side-view picture of Kate's new cut on Instagram last night and, from what we can see, it's an edgy shag that's straight-up cool-girl perfection. No matter how much we may try to deny it, a lot of us are emotionally attached to our long, flowing locks. The fact that Kate isn't afraid to pass on the extensions — and has picked up scissors instead — deserves praise in our book. We think this Tinkerbell-esque 'do is pretty perfect for summer — and will transition flawlessly into fall and beyond.
