Good news, model wannabes with equally hot friends. Today, Marc Jacobs announced that he's casting new faces for Marc by Marc Jacobs on Instagram. The designer naturally made that announcement on Instagram, because we all of us are living in a weird, selfie-centric future that the soothsayer Andy Warhol foretold.
Jacobs has, of course, cast via social media before — his first foray into social casting produced MMJ's fall '14 campaign, featuring the 10 beautiful, slightly freaky young things shown here. This time around, the hashtag remains the same (#CastMeMarc), but there's a twist: Jacobs is looking to cast groups of friends. So, it's not enough for you to be freakishly gorgeous — all your pals must be, too. Quelle pressure, Marc.
Luckily, though, groups of improbably lithe, young hotties don't only exist in Gigi Hadid's Instagram or Ryan McGinley photos. Studies have shown that people can actually look hotter in groups — a phenomenon known as the "Cheerleader Effect." So, don't worry if your group includes a couple laggers, looks-wise. Marc just might love you anyway.
