Brow Piercings Just Went Next Level At Rodarte

Your mom would not have been pleased with some of the looks at Rodarte's spring '15 show. Continuing in the brand's grunge-inspired tradition, this time, the sisters spotlighted something new: multiple (faux) brow piercings. Each model walked down the runway with a filled-in set adorned by rows of silver rings. It was a face-accessorizing mic drop.
The girls wore the jewelry in curves that matched the shapes of their arches. It was a reincarnation of the '90s eyebrow-ring trend — amped up to the 1,000th degree. But, how, exactly, did the rings manage to stay put? "That's an industry secret," says show makeup artist James Kaliardos. What a tease!
With an accent like that, there's not much you can do to surprise people with makeup. Kaliardos, working with NARS, kept the look natural. He added simple shadows, a touch of mascara, and some of the brand's new Audacious Lipstick (Barbara for paler skin and Vanessa for darker). "This is a makeup look you could do on the subway," says Kaliardos.
The hair was effortless: Odile Gilbert for John Frieda worked to bring out the beauty of each models' natural texture. She made sure each girl's hair was washed backstage to ensure that no product had been left over from previous shows.
As for the nails, artist Tracylee painted on a nude color as the base. Then, in a thin line, she swept a custom blue around the cuticle. This created a worn effect that almost looked like they had worn their polish shades down to nothing.
