Good news, Brooklyn! One of our favorite skincare and apothecary brands is heading across the river to Brooklyn Heights. Kiehl's, which has been an East Village institution since 1851, is opening a new location at 124 Montague Street on January 31. And, you can bet there's going to be one heck of a grand-opening celebration.
Next Friday, Homage Brooklyn Skate Shop & Skate Academy is teaming up with Kiehl's to benefit Friends of Douglass/Greene Park with an afternoon of complimentary soft-truck skate clinics and a $5,000 donation from Kiehl's. From 4 to 5:30 p.m., you can enjoy a DJ, photobooth, and refreshments from local vendors. And, in the spirit of giving, Kiehl's is also offering complimentary passes to the Saturday and Sunday group lessons at Homage. Passes can be picked up during the grand-opening event. The Brooklyn locale will feature the brand's signature beauty goods, as well as a personal consultation table, a men's shave bar, and generous samples of skin- and hair-care products for guys and gals. Oh, we're so there.
Kiehl's 124 Montague Street (at Henry Street), Brooklyn; 718-422-7747.
