Though many foodie sites have cropped up over the past few years, Zagat remains an authoritative voice on the best places to dine in New York. And this week, they've released their 2014 Restaurants Survey. What did they find? New Yorkers love French food more than ever.
The survey includes 2,084 restaurants (265 of which are in Brooklyn) and consulted the opinions of 48,114 voters. The Top Food award went to Eric Ripert's Le Bernardin for the 12th time. It also won Most Popular for the third year in a row. Plus, Per Se took home the award for Service (no surprise there!). So, even though voters chose Italian as their favorite cuisine overall, the French restaurants are scoring the highest. Must be all that butter.
Zagat's survey also offers insight into the top complaints about dining out and the growth and decline of particular cuisines in New York. Check out the full report, or just call Le Bernadin for a reservation now.(Zagat)
