Camera Shy: Guess Who’s NOT Looking In Hedi Slimane’s First YSL Ad

YSL-Paris-Hedi-Slimane-camp
Just three weeks before the show that everyone's talking about, Hedi Slimane photographed Christopher Owen of Girls (the band, not the show) for this YSL ad. The brand's new creative director — and pioneer of the new logo — is expected to take the brand in an edgier direction following Stefano Pilati's 12 years of sleek, soft designs.
Notably, there are no clothes in this photo. That could mean one of two things: YSL is going to start making exclusively pillows, or the mega-brand is going to start calling in some help from the celeb side of things — and reaching out to a younger audience. Either way, this enticing image just got us all the more excited for the show in Paris. In the last few months, news of all kinds of changes has leaked, so we're prepared for some serious change on the runway of this long-standing classic. We already got a peek at a bag thanks to Gwyneth, but what will the rest look like? Any guesses?
