Daphne Guinness & Lady Gaga Set Record (& Not For Platforms)

For some people, closet cleaning means putting their old stuff in garbage bags, and shlepping it to the local Goodwill. (For us, it means selling our treasures to you, but that's another story.) When it comes to couture collector Daphne Guinness, however, it means setting a world record for sales, bringing in $742,000 for the Isabella Blow Foundation. Hosted by Christie's, the auction contained such memorabilia as a Mario Testino portrait of Daphne (seen here), Alexander McQueen gowns, and one Christian Lacroix dress & jacket combo, which allegedly went to Lady Gaga for $25,000. That's a lot of dash for a lot of cash. Check out how all the money gets spent by visiting IsabellaBlowFoundation.com. (Fashion Indie)
