7 Celebrities Who Will Convince You To Wake Up Earlier

Some of the most successful people in the world, celebrities included, wake up early. Hopping out of bed before the sun rises is proven to increase productivity, sure. But — let's face it — it also allows for a longer, borderline-therapeutic beauty routine. (Which comes with its own set of benefits, make no mistake.)

While the snoozers among us might slap on concealer a few minutes before walking out the door, early-risers make the time to mask, dry brush, or even soak in the tub (sometimes starting as early as 4 a.m., mind you). And the results speak for themselves. Looking to carve out a few extra minutes of self-care time? Let these celebrities be your inspiration.

Martha Stewart
Martha Stewart accomplishes a lot in the wee hours of the morning, including a damn impressive beauty routine. She told the New York Times she always starts off with a gel, collagen, or firming mask. "I don't repeat the same mask two days in a row," she says.

She then showers with the mask on, both to multi-task and soak in even more moisture from the steam. She rinses off her mask, slathers on serums, toner, possibly a rose spray (spritzed "head-to-toe") and body lotion.

Then comes her favorite SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic serum, a moisturizer, and a tinted sunscreen. Kim Kardashian West, you might have met your match.

Lauren Conrad
Conrad is really against morning breath. Not content to simply brush her teeth, the reality-star-turned-fashion-mogul also sets aside 20 minutes each day for the ancient practice of "oil pulling," which claims to help rid the mouth and body of bacteria. Considering many of us spend 20 minutes on our entire makeup routine, the fact that she just gargles coconut oil for this long this is really something.

Miranda Kerr
If you leave your full-body scrubbing to Sunday afternoons, prepare to be one-upped. This model dry brushes every freaking morning. Kerr told Vogue that in additional to being a great exfoliator, it also helps with circulation and lymphatic drainage.

Jennifer Aniston
Looking this fresh-faced does come at a price. Marie Claire UK reported that Aniston is up at 4:30 a.m. for work and drinks hot water and lemon first thing before washing her face with some soap and water.

Kate Hudson
Not only does Hudson wake up early, but she really wakes up — with an ice bath. "A makeup artist who has worked with dozens of people said, ‘I used to work with this actor and every day he would stick his face in an ice bath. And he would just stick his face in and try to be in there as long as he could, sort of dab off, and go back in.’ I started doing it," she told Stylecaster.

Viola Davis
While we feel inspired by every single morning routine here, the one we envy the most has to be Viola Davis'. After rising at 5:30 a.m., she works out with her husband and they end their routine with a jacuzzi dip. "That part of my day is completely about me and my husband. We sat in our jacuzzi this morning and we just talked and talked and talked. It's meditative for me," she tells Refinery29. The best part? They've been doing it since they first met — pause for all the feels.

Salma Hayek
Hayek is proof that an early routine doesn't have to be overly involved. In fact, she swears by not washing her face in the morning. [I] don't wash it in the morning, at all, never," she told Daily Mail. "Because at night, your skin is rebuilding some of the oils that you need to keep your skin young and it balances the pH." She does advise splashing your face with some cold water in the a.m., à la Hudson.
