We love that Kate Middleton works hard to be "the people's Princess." She wears clothes most of us could afford to buy (or at least splurge on), and she's got the whole approachable vibe down to a science. But, once in a while, we want a Princess Duchess to be, well, a Princess! Aside from a splattering of tasteful McQueen pieces (uh, that wedding gown!), and a Jenny Packham premiere gown here or there, the Duchess rarely gives us a true taste of her luxe lifestyle — until now. She showed up in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia — a stop on the Diamond Jubilee tour — wearing another sure-to-be-famous McQueen number.
The length, the cut of the bust, the bedazzling...this dress is a photo-op in and of itself. Though we're not totally on board with the half-updo and prom curls, she really stepped it up a notch (just building on the lead she already had in our book thanks to this dress). Maybe she was wearing her trusty, repeatable L.K. Bennetts or Jimmy Choos, but, in this case, we'd rather not ruin the majesty of the moment by knowing. Now, can a Proenza bag please be next?
