It’s Super Tuesday! Celebrate With Cocktails And A Killer Outfit

super-tuesdayslide
The raging race to the White House has finally arrived at Super Tuesday, which means tons of us will be sitting in front of our TVs tonight, watching the map change colors. Okay, so we don't have a primary in D.C., which means we're left out of the fun, but there's still plenty of reason to get political. Not least of all: The Topaz hotel bar is taking a tipsy twist on the democratic process tonight, featuring cocktails themed after the campaign's personalities. Think a non-alcoholic Romney float with "Salted Lake" caramel drizzle, a Newt Gin-grich & Tonic (groan) or a Home Sweet Home for the incumbent fans.

You can sip spirits in favor of your favorite candidate, and your order will be tallied as a vote; the Campaign Cocktail Menu will be available and "votes" will continue to be collected until the official GOP nominee is selected. Not sure what Super Tuesday really means? Don't worry, we've got you covered with a cheat sheet below, plus a Perfect Outfit to pair with your patriotic palliative.

Why is Super Tuesday so... super?
It's the day when the most delegates can be won for the challenging party's national convention, where the official presidential candidate is selected.

Tonight there are 10 primaries in states from Alaska to Virginia, with 437 delegates up for grabs, and four candidates vying for votes. (For those of you living under a rock, the contenders are Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich, and Ron Paul.)
