Let's get this straight — tying your shoe isn't a styling trick. It's a life skill. A hallmark of being able to get dressed by yourself. It's one the first things you learn when you're fine-tuning your motor skills, and chances are you're still doing the bunny-ears-around-the-tree-through-the-foxhole shuffle in order to get it done (though, by now, you're not muttering the steps to yourself under your breath). But, if you remember how excited you were the first time you managed to tie a knot that didn't fall apart as soon as you stood up, stay tuned. We're about to blow your mind again, decades later. I first learned this knot-tying technique when I was a waitress and needed to tie and retie my apron a few times a day. One of the other servers taught me this trick, and I've never tied anything using the old methods since. It's insanely quick to do, creates a perfect knot that doesn't budge, works on strings that are slightly too short, and — the best part — you feel like a wizard every single time you do it.  It's a bit tricky to learn at first, but we guarantee that once you master it, you'll never go back. Watch the video above, and welcome to the club.
