4 Women Show Us The Glory Of Clothes That Look Better In Motion

No matter how beautiful a garment looks hanging in your closet, if it doesn't let you do normal human things like breathe comfortably, walk up stairs, or lift your arms, it's not much more than a really pretty swath of fabric. The most effective fashion is as fetching as it is functional, and the best of that bunch makes you look superhuman while you're just living your life. We're talking about skirts that swish, hemlines that fly, and fringe and tassels that will make you look like you're slow-motion strutting in a Michael Bay action sequence. In honor of National Skateboard Day, we enlisted a few lady skater friends including Ashten Weniger, Lanna Apisukh, Penny Hazel, and Jessica James to show off their skills while dressed in Spring '15 styles that really move.

"Athleisure" might be a buzzword, but clothes that move with you is something we'll appreciate forever.
Dress down a pretty frock with a pair of skate shoes.
There's no reason that a matching set has to be Taylor Swift–pretty. Look for ones with unconventional lengths and unexpected details.
The longer-length jacket offsets the micro hems of the shorts.
Don't save your train for your wedding day.
Pave your own aisle.
Friends that mean-mug together, stay together.
