Backstage At Frank Tell’s Conehead-Chic Show

The retro-futuristic vibe has been everywhere this Fashion Week season, but Frank Tell's out-of-this-world elongated up-do made it super literal for his spring 2011 collection. Sparked by Tell's moth-inspired collection, the cocoon symbolism was apparent and the strong yet feminine look was precise but with a texturized, sci-fi effect. Cone-head 'dos aside, the collection itself was a heady mix of organic elegance and space-age wackiness, with soft, translucent layers, soft knits, and amazing primal jewelry from Pamela Love.
