A Gym Playlist From NYC’s Freshest Fitness Studio

Power-Play-Slide1
The right music can make or break your workout. That's why we tapped some of the best instructors, trainers, and DJs to curate the perfect soundtrack for every session.
This Week: Meegan Gregg of Barre3
Don’t be fooled by the studio’s ballet-inspired name; you won't hear any Tchaikovsky blasting at Barre3. The workout classes, which are held in studios around the world, are a personal favorite of mine — a go-to for sneaking in a 10-minute fitness quickie or taking a break from my cardio-heavy rotation of indoor cycling, metabolic conditioning, and running. Barre3's hybrid workout fuses the best of yoga, Pilates, and ballet barre work, using isometric holds, tiny movements, and low-impact cardio moves to elevate your heart rate. (I’m totally guilty of busting out some of the Barre3 signature moves while waiting at the airport or in the never-ending Trader Joe’s line — yes, I'm that girl.)
Meegan Gregg is a star instructor who relocated to NYC (from Barre3's flagship studio in Portland) to open the Big Apple’s inaugural boutique. “I love a blend of electronic and hip-hop for my classes," says Gregg. "And, of course, a little Beyoncé; she always brings the fierce factor.” Below is Gregg's playlist, complete with a remix of Queen Bey’s "Ego.” It's guaranteed to keep you pumped from barre to bar.
