Priscilla Chan & Michelle Obama Steal The Show At State Dinner

Dr. Priscilla Chan stole the show at Friday night's state dinner for China in a red lace dress that hugged her baby bump. A first generation Chinese-American, Chan may have chosen to wear red — the traditional color of luck and happiness — as a nod to her roots. She and her husband, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, announced that they are expecting a little girl on July 31. They also disclosed their difficulties getting pregnant, including multiple miscarriages. "We hope that sharing our experience will give more people the same hope we felt and will help more people feel comfortable sharing their stories as well," Zuckerberg wrote in a post on Facebook announcing the pregnancy. "Our good news is that our pregnancy is now far enough along that the risk of loss is very low and we are very hopeful."
Also catching eyes at the event was First Lady Michelle Obama, who stunned in a black Vera Wang gown. The silhouette is reminiscent of that famous dress Julia Roberts wore in Pretty Woman, but rendered in crepe. This lovely image of her preparing for the evening was captured on Instagram.
