Malia Obama Turned Her Dad Into A “Crybaby”

Barack Obama is the president of the United States, commander of the biggest military on Earth, winner of the Nobel Prize…and a dad wondering how his daughter could possibly be old enough to be entering her senior year of high school. In a speech at Macomb County Community College in Michigan this week, the president shed a tear reminiscing about his daughters growing up. "I started — I had to look away. I didn’t want to just be such a crybaby," Obama said. "It makes no sense. Michelle and I are way too young to have daughters who are both almost in college now. So as a parent, I was a little freaked out." Seventeen-year-old Malia, the older Obama daughter, started her final year of high school this month. Her sister, Sasha, is 14, and both girls attend the Sidwell Friends School in Washington, D.C. Malia is off to college next fall, though we don't yet know where. What we do know is that even if your dad is the leader of the free world, he can still embarrass you by getting all weepy about how proud of you he is.
