Kris Jenner Opens Up About How Bruce & The Family Are Faring

Beverly News/Rex/REX USA
It might have taken Kris Jenner some time to open up about former husband Bruce Jenner’s transition from male to female — but now that she’s started, the Kardashian matriarch is on a roll. At a Beverly Hills charity event on Tuesday, Kris chatted with Us Weekly about Bruce and affirmed that the entire family doing fine following the groundbreaking Diane Sawyer interview. “Bruce is doing great,” Kris said, adding that everyone has been “super supportive.” As for how she personally is handling the sea change? “I’m really happy for him,” said the reality star, who faced criticism after failing to give comment during ABC’s interview with her ex. We’re certain that’s not the last word we’ll hear from her on the subject, though. Teasers from the upcoming Keeping Up with the Kardashians two-part special, airing May 17 and 18, reveal Kris confessing to Kim that she’s having a difficult time reconciling present circumstances with past memories. “I have these memories of this life and I feel sometimes like it didn’t exist,” she says in the promo. Which isn’t to say Kris hasn’t joined the chorus of Bruce supporters on social media: Like her kids, she’s come out strongly in support of Bruce, even calling him her hero. As we’ve said in the past, it’s perfectly understandable that Kris has some complicated feelings to sort through on her own end — and bravo to her for navigating her own path while still standing up staunchly in support of her ex. But, now that she’s got her bearings, Kris is doing what she does best: shaping the situation to benefit the Kardashian empire. She allegedly blocked her ex-stepsons from participating in the special KUWTK episode about Bruce’s transition. Once a momager, always a momager.
