The varsity douchebags of the Internet have created a new hashtag sensation —#HowToSpotAFeminist — now trending on Twitter. People have lots of answers, of course. Most of them are not pretty. It seems like the trend kicked off in earnest with this tweet from Doc Thompson, host of the conservative talk-radio show The Morning Blaze, on the network founded by conservative talking-head Glenn Beck:

Responses arrived quickly.

These provided fodder for a nearly two-hour-long Blaze gabfest on the subject of women, which began with a shocking disclaimer from Thompson's co-host, Skip LaColombe: "I usually, generally speaking, don't go on a whole lot of dates." The broadcast proceeded to prototype women in the dating world, including "the Crazy Feminist Girl." "Could you ever really date someone that is that crazy or different from you?" Thompson asked LaColombe. Obviously, his answer was no. Feminist-spotting suggestions have continued to flow in since Thompson's May 3 tweet. Like the prolific comments from Infowars' Paul Joseph Watson, many are blackened with misogyny.

The attacks on women by women are the most dispiriting, though.
