Beyoncé's mom, Tina Knowles Lawson, had the perfect wedding to actor Richard Lawson on April 12 and you'll cry when you read the sweet reason why.
The two exchanged vows on a yacht in Newport Beach, California, with all of their loved ones in attendance — including Jay Z, Solange, Richard's actress daughter Bianca, and Kelly Rowland. But it was the night's littlest guest who actually made the biggest splash: According to People, Blue Ivy is actually the reason Tina even considered marrying again in the first place.
"[In September] we went on a boat with Beyoncé and Jay Z for her birthday, and when we came out one night dressed to go to dinner, Blue said, 'Oh, ya'll look beautiful. When are ya'll getting married?'" Tina told People. "Richard said, 'Oh, Blue, soon. Do you approve?' And she said yes," Tina added. "That's the first time we talked seriously about getting married."
And lucky for us, Beyoncé shared some snaps of the evening on Beyonce.com. Let us just say, this is one party we're sorry we missed. In a move reminiscent of Solange's all-white attired wedding, the newlyweds and all of their guests sported white for the occasion.
"It was important to me to have a wedding and walk in white, because sometimes we feel that at a certain age you should act a certain way," Tina told People. "You can find love at any age. You just have to go for it."
