James Franco Jokes He Had A Baby With Selena Gomez

James Franco is currently directing an adaptation of John Steinbeck's In Dubious Battle. One would think that being in charge of a major motion picture production wouldn't leave Franco with a lot of time for his usual tricks and giggles. One would be wrong. Franco is Instagramming away from the set, and he's giving Selena Gomez fans heart palpitations in the process. Gomez and Franco met when they costarred in Spring Breakers. During filming, Gomez admitted to being freaked out by Franco because he stayed in character as gangster rapper, Alien, between takes. It wasn't until the press tour that Gomez said, "I realized he's one of the most intelligent people I've ever met." Clearly she changed her mind about Franco because she signed on to In Dubious Battle. In a move that jokester James Franco definitely saw as an innocent enough prank, he posted a photo of Selena carrying a baby doll around set yesterday. "Selene and I had a baby. It was born during Sprang Break," he captioned the snap along with a palm tree emoji, several hearts, and a few dolphin emoji for good measure.  To their credit, Gomez's fans seem to be taking it in stride. The heart wants what it wants, we guess.
