Another Political Sexting Scandal — Involving The Same Woman

In an almost-too-good-to-be-true news story, a Democratic lawmaker in Indiana is caught up in a sexting scandal — and the woman he's been sending pics is none other than Sydney Leathers, the woman who Congressman Anthony Weiner was involved with. In case you've forgotten, Weiner, the Democratic Congressman from New York (with the most phallic-sounding surname in politics), had been considered a rising star in the party — until he got caught sending pics to Leathers and several other women, none of whom were his wife. The resulting scandal introduced America to the word "sexting" and led to Weiner's resignation. Now, Indiana state Rep. Justin Moed is apologizing for sending sexy texts to the very same woman. According to local reports, Rep. Moed sent a picture of his "naked backside" after he found an ad Leathers posted on a personals site. Moed is engaged and planning a wedding for this summer.  Leathers told the New York Post she was surprised to be caught up with another politician: "I’m a little speechless... Apparently, only politicians can pick up on my pheromones," she said. "I am truly sorry I have hurt the ones I love most with my poor judgment," Moed said. "I am committed to rebuilding trust with my family and my community. This is a private matter, and I ask for it to be treated as such. I apologize to my constituents and to everyone I have let down."
