Chrissie Fit joins Hailee Steinfeld and a host of other talented women for the upcoming, hotly anticipated, we'll-see-it-twice-in-theaters-thank-you-very-much musical comedy Pitch Perfect 2, but we're confident that this is just her star-studded beginning. Chrissie plays Flo, the newest Barden Bella, a group which she likens to the "most hilarious sorority, ever." Beyond being vocally talented, Chrissie caught our attention thanks to a special pal of R29: Mr. Nick Barose. Nick is the kind of makeup artist who's selective about his clientele. (See: Lupita Nyong'o, Emma Roberts, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.) One might say that he has an eye for upcoming talent — maybe it comes from hanging out with the coolest women in the biz. (And, Chrissie, like most of his leading ladies, has a penchant for the best of the best: Nick frequently uses Charlotte Tilbury's liquid liner and eye palettes to add smolder to her eyes.) Nick asked the actress a few questions while he did her makeup for the film's press tour. In-between coats of Armani lip gloss, she dished on everything from her career ambitions to her favorite songs. Get to know her via her (adorable) answers below.  What's it like to be the new Bella, joining a very beloved cast?
"It's unreal! I was so nervous at first, because they had all done the first one together and there's a certain rapport you build through that experience. But, they all welcomed me with open arms, and I can truly say that we are all friends. It almost felt like being in a sorority again. The most hilarious sorority, ever." If you had to pick one song that best showed off your voice and personality, what would it be?
"If we're talking personality, then it would have to be 'Uptown Funk' by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars. I love the '70s. The music was so fun, upbeat, and full of attitude. Vocal range, though, keeping with the '70s theme (why not, right?), anything from Donna Summer. I really love Amy Winehouse, too, and the song that would encapsulate both my personality and voice is Stronger Than Me from her Frank album."  Every actress has one: What's your story of how you "made it?"
"I'm not sure that I have one or even if I want one. 'Made it' seems like you've already reached your goal — that you're content with where you're at. I'm so not that girl. I'm always working and brainstorming the next thing. I want to always feel like there's more I can do. Not just in my career, but in life. That's what makes it exciting and challenging." Who's your favorite actress?
"She's a little indie actress that most people don't know about yet. Her name is Meryl Streep. Keep your eyes peeled for that one!" Now, for beauty: What's your daily skin routine like?
"First thing I do in the morning, after brushing my teeth (yuck, morning breath!), is wash my face. On a trip out to Palm Springs, my friend introduced me to The Body Deli. I use their melon foaming cleanser that's totally organic and fresh. It's a superfood skin-care system. And, I use pretty much all of it — the solar day cream, which is my daytime moisturizer, the nighttime treatment, and more. But, when I'm not able to go out to Palm Springs to restock, I use Aveeno Positively Radiant. I love it so much! At night, I wipe off my makeup using Dermalogica Skin Purifying Wipes and then I wash my face. I used to go to bed as a teenager with makeup on, and my mom would yell at me in Spanish about how I was killing my skin. She was right! If you're too tired, at least use a makeup wipe. Lastly, I dab a little bit of Shiseido's White Lucent under my eyes. It's an anti-dark circles eye cream. With our crazy schedule, it definitely helps!" What sort of makeup do you like to wear?
"Since I'm naturally tan, not all bases work with my undertones. MAC Matchmaster Foundation is a great match for me, and I've been using the foundation so long that it's almost a loyalty thing. Nick Barose, an incredible makeup artist who I love working with, just introduced me to Teadora Lip Butter and I'm obsessed. Before I add my favorite bold lip (I do love a bold lip), I have to hydrate my lips with Teadora. It's so good. NARS on my cheeks and Dior on my lashes, and I'm a happy girl!" How do you normally wear your hair?
"Usually wavy, because I really like volume." Favorite perfume of the moment?
"I am a creature of habit when it comes to certain things, so I love the same perfume I've loved for years, Angel by Thierry Mugler." The best piece of beauty advice you've ever been given, and by whom?
"My mom said two very important things to me: One, always wash your face before bed, and two, age gracefully. Love yourself, no matter how many wrinkles or pimples." The best life advice you've ever been given, and by whom?
"My dad may just be Buddha in disguise. He always gives me the best advice. Since I was a kid, he's instilled it in me to be empathetic. Walk a mile in another person's shoes. I've gained a lot of perspective and patience in doing that." If you got invited to the Oscars, who would you bring?
"My brother. He's my dude! That would also eliminate my mom and dad getting upset, because I took one over the other. Actually, can I have like 30 tickets and bring my whole Cuban family? We'll bring food and drinks." What are you most excited for in 2015?
"Pitch Perfect 2, of course! It's so funny. Everything is just on a different level. It's gonna be so much fun! I'm also excited to reprise my role as Chee Chee in Disney Channel's Teen Beach 2! That was also such a great experience, and I think the kids who watched the first one are going to love the second one even more. I'm stoked about writing and getting one of our scripts made. Just about all the possibilities this new year brings. It's all going to be, dare I say it, aca-awesome!"
