This Dog Dressed As Teddy Bear Will Warm Your Heart

It's getting cold outside, but Munchkin the Shih Tzu has quite an industrious solution to the changing season: stuffing herself inside a teddy bear. Or, maybe the rising Facebook star donned this look for Halloween, and she did so with help from her human, Cindy Roth.
If you have a wee pup of your own that you'd like to torture make cuter, Cindy was kind enough to provide instructions for crafting the outfit, and it doesn't sound too hard. Once you buy a teddy bear that's about the same size and color as your pet — the instructions assume you're making it for a dog, but hey, maybe you have a really patient (or drugged) cat — you just have to get a little crafty.

According to Cindy's YouTube caption, the following only took her 15 minutes. "Cut the face off, cut the bottom of the feet off, cut open the back. Take all the stuffing out except for the arms. Bear only goes on front part of their body/legs and back half is exposed. Put a string or velcro through the back behind the neck to tie/close. The bear’s arms hung down, so I sewed them up a bit higher so they stuck out to sides more instead of hanging down." Sounds easy enough!
Munchkin weighs eight pounds and lives in California, where it's unlikely she needs a teddy bear costume to stay warm, but we are obviously glad she went there with it, anyway. (Buzzfeed)
