IKEA’s Homage To The Shining Will Make You Never Shop Again

Whoever's doing the marketing at IKEA deserves an extra Snickers bar this Halloween. The Swedish furniture giant's Singapore outpost released a perfectly crafted ad just in time for spook season.
The new commercial spoofs the most iconic scene from Stanley Kubrick's seminal 1980 film, The Shining. The famous tracking shot in question, followed little Danny Torrance as he tricycled his way through the cavernous, haunted halls of the Overlook Hotel. Soon, the Grady twins materialize.
IKEA's homage to the famous sequence also features a boy named Danny. But, instead of exploring the secluded hotel, this Danny is making his way through the furniture store's winding display rooms. Then, the Grady twins appear.
