If you've been wondering what's happened to District 12 while Katniss has been hiding out and Peeta's been shopping at The White Company, we finally have some answers. According to the new "Return to District 12" trailer for Mockingjay Part 1, the entire area has been decimated by Capitol troops. Boo, hiss.
Lorde's "Yellow Flicker Beat" plays as Jennifer Lawrence's Katniss takes stock of the devastation. Her family home is abandoned and reduced to a pile of rubble. Prim and Mama Everdeen aren't home, but a mysterious bouquet of white roses has been left behind. Hello, sinister gift from President Snow.

Presumably, seeing her hometown destroyed will spark a fire in our heroine's belly. Julianne Moore's Alma Coin doesn't think Katniss can handle the fight, but of course that's not true. We're not paying good money to buy pre-sale tickets on October 29 to see our girl mope around. Kick butt, Katniss. Then you can see about calling Effie in to help redecorate.
