Chanel Taps A Kindergartener For Its Latest Campaign

Chanel's new Cruise campaign images have landed. And, while we were not surprised to see flawless Puerto Rican model Joan Smalls starring, her co-star came as a bit of a shock. The campaign also features six-year-old New Yorker Hudson Kroenig, the littlest member of Karl Lagerfeld's entourage. Kroenig is the son of Brad Koenig, the jut-jawed male model you surely remember from his Gap and DKNY campaigns, as well as various runway appearances.
Not that we'd ever pit father against son, but the little Kroenig's career seems to be taking off in a huge way. Prior to this campaign, he appeared with his father on Chanel's runway. And, he starred opposite Keira Knightley in a Chanel short film.
Click on to see the kindergartener pose — in all his safari-suited splendor — opposite the exquisite Smalls. Kind of makes us wonder whether we wasted our own grade-school years just eating sand and skinning our knees. (The Cut)
