When Lady Gaga came out with her first fragrance, aptly named Fame, it seemed like every passing day delivered another rumor about what it would smell like. First, it was blood and semen. Then, it was an expensive hooker. So, when WWD broke the news that Gaga was returning for part deux, the first thing that came to mind when we read the headline was What the hell is this going to smell like?
Turns out, this fragrance will likely smell gorgeous. The bottle, named Eau De Gaga (because, obviously), has notes of white violet, leather, and lime. According to the trade, the advertisement boasts the tagline "For the adventurous woman and the man who loves her," which hints that it might be unisex. So, in other words, Gaga is dialing things back and pushing perfume that actually smells like perfume, which we're sure everyone is pretty stoked about.
Eau De Gaga is set to launch this fall. But, will there be Gulliver's Travels-themed artwork and trippy videos to accompany it? Only time will tell. (WWD)
