A Tea To Make Your Skin Glow? We’re Listening…

They say that beauty is only skin deep, but try telling that to someone who breaks out every time they drink a milkshake. Honestly, the more we read about how food affects our skin, the more it seems like what you put in your body is just as important (if not more so!) as that new serum you just bought.
No one exemplifies this holistic-beauty philosophy more than R.L. Linden & Co., a Denver-based, all-natural brand that specializes in both skin care and house-blended beauty teas. The ingredients lists read like a florist's shop inventory. If fairies had skin-care concerns, this is what they'd keep above their acorn-cup sinks.
Beauty tea is exactly what it sounds like — tea that claims to make you prettier. The description for "Ms. Tilly Rosalie's Beauty Tea" calls it "a calming floral blend for sipping and soaking," and suggests that it would be equally effective as a "facial steam, eye compress, [or] aromatic plant bath."
Ah, yes. An aromatic plant bath. Now there's something you won't be able to find at the drugstore.
Intrigued? This Thursday, R.L. Linden & Co. is offering a beauty-tea-blending workshop, so those with specific complexion needs can learn which herbs will best suit them. The class costs $60, and promises a “mini-herbal consult,” cocktails, and “nerding out” with “fellow green beauty buffs.” If you're looking to get in touch with your inner potion-master, you can register through the website.
Let us know how those plant baths go.
When: Thursday, June 26, 6 to 8 p.m.
Where: The Brooklyn Winery, 213 N. 8th Street, Brooklyn
