We've been fans of the BookBook product line ever since we got our very first iPhone, waaaay back in 2011. The clever design — a smartphone case that looks like a tiny leather-bound book — won us over initially, but the utility has made it irreplaceable. After all, a phone case that can conceal a Metro card, I.D., some cash, and an emergency credit card pretty much covers all your bases, right?
So, when we got word last week that BookBook was launching something really special for Mac users, we were definitely intrigued. Enter: the Rutledge Edition for MacBook, a beautiful leather cover for your constant (computing) companion. The leather is crafted using a specialized dyeing process (so, no two are alike), and a soft, cushioned interior keeps your baby nice and comfy while you're in transit. Plus, when you zip it closed, you look like someone with a marvelous collection of expensive antique books. That's a bonus, obviously.
Good looks aside, this is a sound investment if you're looking to protect your laptop and keep it somewhat incognito when it's not in use. (Not that we'd recommend leaving this beauty unattended at your local coffee shop, of course.) Cases are available for 11-, 13-, and 15-inch laptops, and are designed to accommodate MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and MacBook Pro with Retina Display. Click on over to snag one, and start your own beautiful book club.
