Washing our hair is one of the most basic steps of our not-so-basic beauty routine. But, according to The Huffington Post, there's a good chance we're doing it wrong. Sigh. If you, too, are stuck in the lather-rinse-repeat rut, this article is worth checking out. Some mistakes we realized we're making right off the bat. For example, you have to rinse out product before putting shampoo in. Also, we're guilty of being a little rough with our tresses as we scrub 'em, which is apparently not a good thing.
The most interesting fact we learned, though, is this: "Women with curly, thick, or dry hair should cleanse with a conditioner instead to maintain moisture, as many shampoos contain harsh chemicals such as sulfates that strip hair of moisture." After all that searching for the perfect curly-hair shampoo, this is quite the revelation. Check out the rest of these tips, and let us know if there are any bad hair habits you're guilty of.
