Kenzo Celebrated Girl Power (And The New Kalifornia) With Skater Girls This Weekend

If there was any doubt in your mind that 90s skater style is back in a big way, Kenzo's LA skate park party this weekend hit the point home. Carrie Brownstein, Gia Coppola, Rashida Jones, China Chow and Riley Keough hosted the dinner at The Berrics indoor skate park in downtown LA, and attendees included Gillian Jacobs, Miranda July, Devon Aoki, Rose McGowan, Jessica Alba and Fergie.
The reason behind the shindig? To celebrate Humberto Leon and Carol Lim's new Kalifornia bag for Kenzo, which took them close to 18 months to develop. The native Southern Californians felt that the only appropriate way to celebrate their new arm candy was via the medium of the skater girl.
Four female pro skateboarders — Nora Vasconcellos, Eliana Sosco, Lizzie Armanto and Vanessa Torres — showed off their skillz on the dinner tables-turned-skateboard ramps. The event was, to use the correct terminology, a perfect 900. (Page Six)
