This Summer, Chelsea Market Expands With An Artists’ Market

Embed
We love Chelsea Market. Where else can you get crêpes, sushi, lobster rolls, wine, and more all under one roof? But every now and then we walk in, excited by the Anthropologie window display, and wonder, "Where are all the stores?" Indeed, the retail and restaurants list is heavy on the restaurants, not so much on the retail. And while we typically can't get enough gelato or Thai food, we were ecstatic to hear that Artists & Fleas will be setting up shop for the summer.

Founded in Williamsburg 10 years ago, Artists & Fleas has become a Brooklyn weekend-market mainstay. But starting June 21, the market-within-a-(Chelsea)-market will open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
So head to the corner of 10th Avenue and 15th Street for giant street-art graffiti murals, an enormous video wall, and goods from over 30 artists and boutiques such as Kevin Marcell, American Apothecary, and Stern Design Works. And then – lunch!
