It's been 100 years since Coco Chanel first opened her boutique in Deauville — and what better way to commemorate this anniversary than with a short film? Starring Keira Knightley, of course.
In a still from the film, Knightley takes direction from the man himself, Karl Lagerfeld. And the Kaiser is more than happy to ignore any pesky facts that threaten to get in the way of a good story. He describes his cinematic vision for "Once Upon A Time" as, “invented reality.” We’ll have to wait until May 8 to find out exactly what that means, as the film will be shown the day before the brand’s cruise collection debuts at Loewen Cluster in Singapore.
But, consider the date firmly marked in our calendars, Monsieur Lagerfeld. (WWD)
