U.S. Army Bans FiveFinger Running Shoes

When we express our distaste for something, we're not ashamed to say that it's 90% dictated by how awesome it looks. So, we feel good that our combined fear, bemusement, and aversion for the Vibram FiveFingers "shoe" is shared by those who aesthetics matter much less than performance: The U.S. Army. Last week, the Army banned all "toe-shoes" because they "Detract from a professional military image and are prohibited for wear with the IPFU or when conducting physical training in military formation.” Excuse us while we HAHAHAHAHAHA.
