The Coolest Runway Makeup For Your High-Fashion Halloween Costume

Fashion week can throw us. Sometimes it's super-boring — all bare-faced this, natural beauty that. Other times, it's totally inappropriate for anywhere but the runway, what with the outrageous head pieces that could easily topple a model in heels, cocaine-inspired nails, and seriously NSFW makeup.

But we found the middle ground this Spring/Summer 2018 season: inspiring hair and makeup looks that can be toned down for normal Saturday nights out or dialed up for Halloween.

Ahead, the most creative styles from the shows that'll have you covered when it comes to costume originality and give you major high-fashion cred.

Glam Gym-Goer

Fenty Beauty was the talk of the town at NYFW, and the Fenty x Puma runway showed models sporting pulled-back hair and beaming highlights. Wrap a wet ponytail with some neon twine, go nuts with the glow, and you've got the perfect fusion of athletic and glam. Plus, you can wear sweats.

Elegant Mad Hatter

You can go a lot of different directions with this Desigual style, but we got Moulin Rouge meets Mad Hatter. Really, we'll take any excuse to paint delicate floral etchings on our face and wear a deep burgundy lipstick.

Dancing Emoji

The Blonds runway featured giant red flowers in the hair and lots of sparkle for a look that was strikingly similar to that of the dancing woman in the red dress living in your emoji keyboard. You'll be a hit with millennial crowds.

Twisted Princess

Not-Your-Average Cat

Admit it: You've been a cat for Halloween at least once. Whenever we were feeling lazy in years past, we quickly swiped some eyeliner on our cheeks, dressed in all black, and cursed our lack of creativity. But adding a little gold glitter and red eyeshadow can create a cat costume that actually makes a statement. Really, as long as the whiskers are there, you can make the look your own.
