You Can Buy Dakota Johnson’s Childhood Home For $16 Million

We're going to go ahead and assume that you, like us, did not grow up in a massive, Renaissance Revival mansion built by the same architect as the Hoover Dam. That is, of course, unless your name is Dakota Johnson.
According to Curbed L.A., the Fifty Shades of Grey actress' parents (that is, mom Melanie Griffith and stepdad Antonio Banderas) have just put their Los Angeles home on the market, following the announcement of their pending divorce. And, while the $16-million price tag is ever-so-slightly out of our own budgets, there's no harm in attending a virtual open house, right?
Purchased in 1999, when Johnson was 10 years old, and nestled in the quiet mid-city 'hood of Hancock Park, the three-story estate comes with a banquet hall and unique touches like hand-stenciled ceilings. But, it gets better: In 2000, the couple purchased the house next door, tore it down, and created a sprawling, kid-friendly outdoor space that includes rose gardens, organic vegetable gardens, and a pool, The Wall Street Journal reports.
All in all, this is a home you have to see to believe. Click through for more tidbits and a tour of the one-of-a-kind property. (Then, head over to Curbed for more!)
