When you're Kim Kardashian, every single day must feel like the sun has risen just for you. So, can you really blame her for wanting a totally basic birthday celebration?
The reality star, who turned 34 on October 21, revealed that her birthday gift from husband Kanye West was pretty low-key: sleeping in, a shopping spree at The Gap, and a homemade gift from North West. If you can gloss over the fact that the couple were in Hawaii for the day, and that NW's present had a designer price tag, the whole thing sounds totally normcore.

"Kanye took me away for 24 hours and was like, 'What do I get the girl that has so much?'" Kardashian told Us Weekly at her more extravagant birthday bash at Tao in Las Vegas. "Sleep and no paparazzi and shopping at The Gap."
Kardashaian revealed: "We spent two hours shopping at The Gap and we haven't been there in years. We bought creme sweaters. We bought like five of them and we're going to reconstruct them and make things out of them."
Apparently, Mom and Dad aren't the only crafty ones in the Kimye family. Just get a load of the DIY designer gift one-year-old North West cooked up.
"Kanye had a box [with an Hermès purse in it] and I opened it up and it was all painted really cool and on my computer was this message that said 'Play' and it was a video of my daughter sitting outside painting the purse," Kardashian shared. "I had thought it was this new artist who had painted this purse [but] it was my daughter. It was amazing."
Yes, kids. By all means, scribble all over a multi-thousand-dollar purse. We'll just stick them on the fridge, see? (Us Weekly)
