A Dinosaur's Story introduced some of the friendliest pre-historic animals to the world, Louis Vuitton is introducing the most stylish. The often-imitated French fashion house recently filled its Fifth Avenue Maison windows with accessory-clad dinosaur skeletons, bringing the reptiles back to the future for the world to see.
The golden dinosaurs interact with handbags — the Speedy, the Sofia Coppola, the Alma, and the Noe to name a few — as well as mannequins dressed in LV's pre-fall '13 collection. Museum-style signage offers informative product details and sets the merchandise apart as treasures to be looked at and admired. Thankfully, these dinosaurs are more welcoming than they are frightening, inviting in passersby and reassuring us that a keen sense of style is everlasting.
