‘Allo, Neighbor! Refinery29 London Launches With An East-End Afterparty

After a way-too-long red-eye to Heathrow, tying one on wasn't high on our list of priorities. But, as soon as we hit London proper, got ourselves a shower, some fairly strong coffee tea, and a spot of lunch (our internal clocks were still on EST), we hit the streets. Just a walk down the crowded, style-packed pavements was all it took to get us into the swing of Europe's coolest capital...and charged up for a night of revelry at our long-awaited launch party. And, revel we did!
With the help of our buds at ASOS, ample portions of Jeremiah Weed (no, you can't smoke it), and tight sets by DJs Karin Park and Zebra Katz, we broke the seal on Refinery29 London with a true, raging afterparty to our first launch party at the so-cool Shoreditch Studios.
The East-End hipsters were there. The Chelsea set was there. The Dalston crew rolled deep. Our London contributors — and some of our favorite former interns — were there. But, most importantly, our cross-the-pond, loyal R29ers were there, welcoming us to the 'hood and sharing a toast with us. (Oh, and getting cozy with us in the photo booth!) It was a true trans-Atlantic moment, one we'll remember as we grow our new London edition, and voice. We wish you were there, too.
