YSL’s Stefano Pilati Is Scared Of Fashion Bloggers

That scene in The September Issue when Anna Wintour visits a very, very nervous Stefano Pilati in his studio has always led to a cognitive dissonance of sorts for us—how can a man who creates such confidant clothing produce be such a 'fraidy cat? In his recent interview with WWD following his 2012 cruise collection, Pilati reveals that it's not only Anna he's scared of—fashion bloggers also give him the willies. “I pay attention to all of them and I’m very scared. Because who are these people? I would like to sit with them and ask them where they come from. Because it’s very easy to judge from your bed. At the same time, I’m fascinated. I’m fascinated by this era and this medium. If people are thirsty about fashion, I like to have a dialogue, but now it’s not a two-way dialogue; it’s a one-way dialogue.” So, speak up, Stefani! Wouldn't you love a YSL blog to counter that typing of plebeians? Otherwise, we suggest a Xanax prescription. (WWD)
